TENDER NOTICE for St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School - Learning Commons Interior Renovations

North Bay, Ontario

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSCDSB) wishes to provide notice of the current tendering of the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary Learning Commons Interior Renovations project.

 The scope of work for the projects includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  1. Base Bid Work: Renovation work including but not necessarily limited to the following:

    1. Renovation of the existing Library, a portion of Hall EH3, and Hall EH4A to accommodate the Learning Commons and Staff Lounge including associated work in Foyer EH, removal work, interior partitions, doors and frames c/w hardware, window, interior screens, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, millwork, fire separations, miscellaneous modifications to the exterior envelop to suit mechanical work, and associated mechanical/electrical work.

    2. Modifications to a portion of the existing roof and structure above the existing Library to accommodate a skylight, including partial roof removal work, skylight support structure, associated roof replacement, and structural work. 

    3. Replacement of Mechanical Units serving the Learning Commons and associated modifications to existing mechanical opening and roofing.

    4. Relocation of (25) existing lockers from Hall EH4A to Hall EH PHYSIO HALL including demolition, removal and repair work associated with removal of lockers and locker base, and renovation work including locker base, and floor base and finishes associated with relocation.

  2. ADD-ON PRICE  Work: Renovation work including but not necessarily limited to the following:

    1. Add-On Price No. 1: Renovation of existing Classroom E116 to accommodate Large Storage Room E116 including associated removal work, repair work, wall and ceiling finishes, and associated mechanical/electrical work.

    2. Add- On Price No. 2:  Renovation of existing Band Storage E126 to accommodate Small Storage Room E126 including associated work in Basement Hall EH, removal work, door and frame c/w hardware, partitions, wall and ceiling finishes, millwork, fire separations and associated mechanical/electrical work.

Bid Documents will be available in electronic .pdf format on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 after 4:00 pm.  General Contractors and major Mechanical and Electrical Subcontractors may obtain Bid Documents electronically in .PDF format by submitting an e-mail request addressed to tenders@leaainc.com .  E-mail shall include all Contractor contact information and indicate ‘SJSH Learning Commons Interior Renovations – Request for Tender Documents’ in the subject line.

A non-mandatory bidder’s briefing is scheduled for Monday, April 8th, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. local time.  Attendees shall meet at the main entrance of St. Joseph Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School, as located at 675 O’Brien Street, North Bay.

To be considered, offers must be submitted on official tender forms and will be received by the Owner, Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board, 1000 High Street, North Bay, Ontario, P1B 6S6, attention: Mr. Dan Russo, Senior Manager of Plant Services, prior to the closing date and time as per the requirements of the Bid Documents.

Submissions received after the closing deadline will not be accepted.  Fax or e-mail submissions will not be accepted.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, and/or cancel or withdraw this request for any reason without liability for any costs or damages incurred by respondents including without limitation, any expenses incurred in the preparation of the submission.

NOTE: CONTACT INFORMATION AS SUBMITTED WILL BE USED FOR ANY FURTHER BIDDING CORRESPONDENCE INCLUDING ISSUANCE OF ANY ADDENDUMS. ALL BIDDING CORRESPONDENCE ISSUED BY THE CONSULTANT, INCLUDING ANY ADDENDUMS, SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED ONLY TO PARTIES WHO HAVE OBTAINED HARDCOPY OR ELECTRONIC BID DOCUMENTS DIRECTLY FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CONSULTANT AND PROVIDED CONTACT INFORMATION ACCORDINGLY.

Consultant will process information during standard business hours* and will e-mail a link to obtain electronic .pdf tender documents no later than the end of the next business day. *Standard business hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday to Friday.
