TENDER NOTICE for Sheguiandah First Nation Living Heritage Roundhouse Additions and Renovations
The Sheguindah First Nation (SFN) wishes to provide notice of the current tendering of the SFN Living Heritage Roundhouse Additions and Renovations.
The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to:
- Scope of Work includes but is not limited to exterior and interior renovations to the existing 490 s.m. (5,280 s.f.) Roundhouse building and construction of a 165 s.m. (1,771 s.f.) single storey wood framed Kitchen Addition (c/w Mechanical Mezzanine) and Add-on Prices for the construction of a separate 101 s.m. (1,087 s.f.) Washroom Addition and a 101 s.m. (1,087 s.f.) Multi-Purpose Room Addition.
New work to include:
- Site Work including extension of water main, fire hydrant and electrical service, new septic system, vertical geothermal field bed c/w horizontal piping to the building, clearing and grubbing, site grading, gravel parking area, hard surface walkways and landscaping.
- Construction of single storey wood framed Kitchen Addition complete with mechanical mezzanine and separate Add-on Price work for washroom and multi-purpose room additions including wood siding, roofing, interior finishes and associated mechanical and electrical work.
- Exterior and interior renovations to the existing Roundhouse building including new roofing, skylight installation, interior finishes and associated mechanical and electrical work.
Bid Documents will be available in electronic .pdf format on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 after 12:00 pm. General Contractors and Mechanical/Electrical Major Subtrades may obtain Bid Documents electronically in .PDF format by submitting an e-mail request addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org. E-mail shall include all Contractor contact information and indicate ‘SFN Living Heritage Roundhouse – Request for Tender Documents’ in the subject line.
A non-mandatory on-site Bidder’s Briefing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, to be administered by the Consultant. The meeting will commence at the office of the Owner, located at 142 Ogemah Miikan, Sheguiandah, Ontario, P0P 1W0. It is highly recommended that all General Contractors and Mechanical/Electrical Major Subtrades attend the meeting.

To be considered, offers must be submitted on official tender forms and will be received by the Consultant, Larocque Elder Architects, Architectes Inc., 188 5th Avenue East, North Bay, ON, P1B 1N6, attention: Valerie Assinewai, Economic Development Officer, prior to the closing date and time as per the requirements of the Bid Documents.
Submissions received after the closing deadline will not be accepted. Fax or e-mail submissions will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, and/or cancel or withdraw this request for any reason without liability for any costs or damages incurred by respondents including without limitation, any expenses incurred in the preparation of the submission.
