TENDER NOTICE for Sheguiandah First Nation Living Heritage Roundhouse Additions and Renovations

The Sheguindah First Nation (SFN) wishes to provide notice of the current tendering of the SFN Living Heritage Roundhouse Additions and Renovations.
 
The scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to:

  • Scope of Work includes but is not limited to exterior and interior renovations to the existing 490 s.m. (5,280 s.f.) Roundhouse building and construction of a 165 s.m. (1,771 s.f.) single storey wood framed Kitchen Addition (c/w Mechanical Mezzanine) and Add-on Prices for the construction of a separate 101 s.m. (1,087 s.f.) Washroom Addition and a 101 s.m. (1,087 s.f.) Multi-Purpose Room Addition.

 
New work to include:

  • Site Work including extension of water main, fire hydrant and electrical service, new septic system, vertical geothermal field bed c/w horizontal piping to the building, clearing and grubbing, site grading, gravel parking area, hard surface walkways and landscaping.
  • Construction of single storey wood framed Kitchen Addition complete with mechanical mezzanine and separate Add-on Price work for washroom and multi-purpose room additions including wood siding, roofing, interior finishes and associated mechanical and electrical work.
  • Exterior and interior renovations to the existing Roundhouse building including new roofing, skylight installation, interior finishes and associated mechanical and electrical work.

 
Bid Documents will be available in electronic .pdf format on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 after 12:00 pm.  General Contractors and Mechanical/Electrical Major Subtrades may obtain Bid Documents electronically in .PDF format by submitting an e-mail request addressed to tenders@leaainc.com.  E-mail shall include all Contractor contact information and indicate ‘SFN Living Heritage Roundhouse – Request for Tender Documents’ in the subject line.

A non-mandatory on-site Bidder’s Briefing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, to be administered by the Consultant.  The meeting will commence at the office of the Owner, located at 142 Ogemah Miikan, Sheguiandah, Ontario, P0P 1W0. It is highly recommended that all General Contractors and Mechanical/Electrical Major Subtrades attend the meeting.

TENDER NOTICE for St. Joseph-Scollard Hall and St. Lawrence Hall Masonry Veneer Restoration

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSCDSB) wishes to provide notice of the current tendering of the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall and St. Lawrence Hall Masonry Veneer Restoration project..

 

The scope of work for the project is as follows:

.1             Base Bid Work:  Masonry restoration work at Work Area ‘A’ including, but not necessarily limited to the following:

.1             Stone Dismantling and Reconstruction work at two (2) turret structures.

.2             Stone masonry restoration including 1”, 2” and full depth repointing, providing new stone veneer ties, epoxy-injecting cracked stones, introducing new mortar joints at split stones and patching of delaminated stones as required.

.3             Sealant joint renewal work at masonry-to-masonry, masonry-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealant joints

.4             Removal of existing wood-framed overhead protection.

.2             Add-On Price:  Masonry restoration work at Work Area ‘B’ including, but not necessarily limited to the following:

.1             Brick veneer restoration including partial depth repointing (up to 2” deep) of all mortar joints, epoxy-injecting cracked bricks, patching of delaminated bricks and brick removal and reinstallation as required.

.2             Smooth-faced cut stone masonry restoration including full depth repointing, epoxy-injecting cracked stones, and patching of delaminated stones as required.

.3             Sealant joint renewal work at masonry-to-masonry, masonry-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealant joints and sealant drip deflectors.

.3             Add-On Price Work for:

.1             Cleaning of masonry veneer surfaces.

.2             Application of sealant joint primer as may be required.

.3             Concrete foundation patch repairs and restoration work including crack repair and sealing at Work Area ‘B’.

A highly recommended bidder’s briefing is scheduled for Thursday, March 1st, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. local time.  Attendees shall meet at the office of Larocque Elder Architects, Architectes Inc. (LEA), as located at 188 Fifth Avenue East, North Bay.  Bidder’s briefing shall include a presentation of the project by the Consultants followed by a visit to the project site.
